A social media analyst is a key member of the social media team who’s tasked with monitoring, analyzing and making sense of social media data in order to help companies strengthen their online presence and improve their marketing strategies.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Proven work experience as a Social media analyst.
- Experience with social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
- Familiarity with multiple social media platforms.
- In-depth understanding of social media KPI’s.
- Excellent analytical and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor, analyze, and report on performance and trends across various social media platforms.
- Develop and implement social media strategies that align with business goals.
- Measure the success of each social media campaign by using various analytics tools.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other teams to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts.
- Create and maintain regular performance reports.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices.
- Identify, interpret and capitalize on social media trends.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop engaging content that can be used in marketing or advertising campaigns.
- Provide suggestions for improving the company’s online presence.
- Perform competitive analysis and identify key areas for improvement.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and their analytics.
- Proficiency in using social media analytics tools to track engagement rates, social mentions, trending topics, and audience behavior.
- Excellent data analysis skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable social media strategies.
- Communication skills to clearly articulate insights from social media data to the marketing team and guide their content strategy.
- Ability to generate creative ideas based on data trends to enhance social media presence and engagement.
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate with the marketing team, content creators, and other stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of SEO practices, keyword research, and Google Analytics to enhance social media traffic and brand visibility.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and address social media challenges or crises swiftly and effectively.
