Their primary goal is to improve a website’s ranking on search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo. This involves a mix of technical SEO, content creation, link building, and data analysis. By optimizing a website’s structure, content, and backlinks, an SEO strategist ensures that it meets the criteria set by search engine algorithms.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Proven experience as SEO Manager, SEM Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of standard and current SEO practices.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Experience with SEO reporting and analytics tools.
- Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. Conductor, Screaming Frog, MOZ) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- BSc/BA in Marketing, Business or related field.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keyword Research and Analysis: Identifying relevant keywords that potential customers use to search for products or services.
- On-Page SEO: Optimizing individual web pages to rank higher and earn more relevant traffic through on-page SEO strategy. This includes meta tags, headings, content, and images.
- Technical SEO: Ensuring that the website meets the technical requirements of search engines with proper coding, mobile-friendliness, site speed, and architecture.
- Content Strategy: Developing and implementing a content plan that aligns with SEO goals. This includes creating high-quality, relevant, and engaging content.
- Link Building: Acquiring backlinks from reputable sites to improve the website’s authority and ranking.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console to monitor and report on SEO performance, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Competitor Analysis: Analyzing competitors’ SEO strategies to identify opportunities and threats.
