The Marketplace Catalog Executive will be responsible for managing and maintaining the product catalog across multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and visibility of product information. This role plays a key part in driving online sales by delivering well-structured, optimized, and customer-friendly product listings.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in catalog management, e-commerce operations, or product data entry.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, or similar).
- Good communication for product content creation.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and tools (preferred).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teams.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Catalog Management: Create and update product listings on our eCommerce platform, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all categories/platforms.
- Content Optimization: Optimize product titles, descriptions, and images to improve search visibility, drive traffic, and enhance conversion rates.
- Data Entry and Validation: Accurately input product information into the database and validate data integrity to ensure a seamless online shopping experience for customers.
- Image Editing: Utilize Photoshop skills to remove image backgrounds or make necessary adjustments to enhance product images for better presentation.
- Timely Optimization and Compliance: Ensure timely product listing optimization, data accuracy, and copyright content awareness to maintain catalog integrity.
- Competitor Research: Perform competitor price research and monitor industry trends to identify best practices and benchmark performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices and participate in training sessions or workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to catalog management and eCommerce trends.
- Customer Focus: Maintain a customer-centric approach in all catalog-related activities, prioritizing the delivery of accurate and engaging product information to enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Training and Development: Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in catalog management and eCommerce. Collaborate with team members to share insights and learnings from training experiences, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the catalog management team.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Prior Cataloging Experience: Prior experience in catalog management or related roles is a must, demonstrating competence in managing product listings, optimizing content, and ensuring catalog accuracy.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry, content creation, and image editing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets: Ability to utilize spreadsheet software for data organization, analysis, and reporting.
- Photoshop Skills: Basic proficiency in Photoshop or similar image editing software to make necessary adjustments to product images.
- Content Creation: Basic understanding of content creation principles and the ability to write clear and engaging product descriptions.
- eCommerce Knowledge: Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and an understanding of online shopping trends and consumer behavior.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate product information clearly to customers.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, tools, or priorities as needed in a dynamic work environment.
